Loved the private hiking with awesome views. Our guide Nawa was really helpful and also took some great pictures and videos for us! It was an incredible experience and recommend everyone to go for it!

Amazing experience as a first trek of such we’ve done together. Our guide Denis took us up at a good pace, completing the ascend within an hour. The team (Lita, our sweet & friendly driver, cheerful & warm Captain Bud, and climbing guide, the sincere, gentle, steady, Denis) converses well in English, have stories about their homeland to share, are warm and hospitable, and really good that they do. Thank you Lita and husband, for opening your home as our starting point and sharing with us, the beauty of your hearts, your community and labour in the farms of your village. The trek does require some fitness. Pace yourself and let your climbing guide know if you really need a break to rest. Get a good rest for your heart’s sake before. As you climb, be ready to push ahead with confidence in your guide to know when you need to keep a steady, efficient pace for steeper portions of the trail. Grippy trekking shoes are essential especially in wet seasons/moist volcanic soil in night/pre-dawn climb. We managed this short climb with our 500ml bottled water but hydrate before and after. You can do this. Have fun. It’s beautiful.

We loved this trip. Yus, our guide really looked after us. We were given sticks and head torches and it was great to climb in the dark because we couldn't see how steep it got in places! Yus stopped for regular breaks and once up the mountain, made us a lovely breakfast with the best views. He had extensive local knowledge, answered our endless questions and took photographs for us! The hot springs were the ideal way to end a fabulous climb.
