Myself and a friend used this experience and loved it! We were met at 2:15am by our very experienced driver Intan, who navigated some very difficult roads with total ease. After around an hour and twenty minutes we arrived at the bottom of Mt Batur, where we were handed over to our guide Yus, a local to the area. We could not have asked for a better guide, he had a lot to tell us about the mountain and local traditions, and was very encouraging about us needing extra breaks on the steep ascent. After about an hour and a half we made it to the top where we had some breakfast and waited for sunrise. Let me tell you, that view made it all worth it! Absolutely stunning. After lots of photos we headed back down to meet back up with our driver, who took us to a coffee tasting before heading home. Overall a fantastically organized experience I would recommend to others. Make sure to bring good shoes!

Really enjoyed this trip - was a very personal experience (we were out of season and had 4 in our group). The guides were fun but kept the whole thing real - I think I would do this again rather than one of the busier climbs. I was huffing a bit on the climb but not in the best cardio shape of my life :)

Seek Sophie- We found Seek Sophie while looking for Mount Batur tours with less crowded options . We are glad that we chose Seek Sophie. We had a wonderful tour to view sunrise from the top of the caldera and a beautiful ride on caldera lake (Mount Batur lake) . There are no vehicles going up and very few people that makes the hike really enjoyable. One also gets to view 4-5 mountains and ocean depending on visibility. Our driver Yosi and guide Wi were very good. Yosi was punctual and polite. Wi has hidden talent of getting instagram hit photos and reels ! Wi also has very good knowledge of the area as he is local to Kintamani including the history and different fruits of the area. Highly recommend the trip with Seek Sophie.

We went for the Sunrise Trek, Nungnung waterfall and Coffee Plantation. Our guide for the trek, Putu, was great because he brought us to routes and photo points away from the large crowds. This is also one of the few tours that provide hiking sticks - we saw many other groups without sticks. Our driver, Mangku Angga, provided us a smooth and fast ride despite the long distances early in the morning. He was cheerful and ready to help. Thanks to both, it was a good experience!

My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our hike up Mount Batur and were very well accommodated by both our taxi driver and our tour guide, who both delivered great service. Our tour guide, Yus, was super friendly, caring and enthusiastic. We loved the conversations and the many laughs we had with him during the hike, and we feel we learned a lot about the culture of the local community. We will treasure this experience for years to come and would highly recommend! For future guests I would recommend some warm layers for the top of the hike, definitely wear grippy shoes for some of the crumble-y and uneven paths, and potentially avoid when wet because of these paths (we went when it was dry and still felt a bit unstable sometimes underfoot!)

A truly magical trip to the caldera summit across a starlit lake! After the boat trip, local guide Wi made us feel safe on the slightly challenging upward trail, and we enjoyed the five-mountain view in the rising sun :) We also enjoyed the return boat trip, where Wi pointed out his fish farm and talked about growing up in this lovely rural part of Bali. We were picked up and returned to our hotel in Ubud by Yosi, who kept us entertained both ways. This tour avoids the crowds and made us feel we were experiencing something unique and beautiful. Highly recommended!
