I had such an interesting and enjoyable day learning with Bamboo Creative Bali. We started to construct a bamboo house in miniature whilst chatting and learning about the art of Bamboo construction. The location has some amazing pieces of work which are very impressive to see! Definitely recommend visiting.

One of the best experiences we had in Bali. The host is extremely good at wood crafting but more importantly in teaching us how to handle the tools for the best outcome. Natalie, her master craftsman and assistant were absolutely fantastic. They couldn't have done anything else to make my day with them a perfectly wonderful experience. As I was the only "student" this day, they tailor-made the experience to my requirement, so the model making ended up a furniture making experience. This taught me the basic joints which will be helpful for me at home. Thank you creative bamboo team from "mister" Bill for a wonderful & memorable day. (& I've got a stool to take home).

Lovely little workshop to get in touch with Bali's local woodcrafting tradition. You can chose a design to work on. The teacher is clearly a master in his craft and has loads of experience. Be aware that whole you can do carving yourself, the teacher will do quite a lot to make sure it's presentable and finished in time, which at times was a little sad because it felt like your work (admittedly not perfect, but that was never the goal) was hardly visible in the end. If you are interested in the background of the masks for example, you'll have to ask, no information is given on their own. It's still a great way to get an insight into the craft if you are not too sensitive about lots of the work being done for you. Recommended!

Wow ! Bali is a place of beauty and kindness . It also has some extremely gifted artists and artisans who are willing to share their gifts- my wood working instructor at 5 Art Studio was patient and helpful. I’m going back tomorrow to take the batik class. The classes are taught in a magical setting . Beautiful nature and historical buildings create a reverent and peaceful place .
