Challenge yourself with a private sunrise trek up Bali's highest volcano
Ready for a serious challenge? This private trek takes you to the very top of Mount Agung, Bali’s highest and most sacred volcano. Unlike the more common shorter treks, this one reaches the true summit at 3,142m, rewarding you with epic 360-degree views at sunrise. It’s a tough but incredibly rewarding hike, perfect for those who love pushing their limits. The trek follows the Pura Besakih Trail, which is the recommended route for those who want the full experience. It takes around 7–8 hours to reach the summit, so be prepared for a long but breathtaking journey through dense jungle and volcanic terrain. You'll start hiking in the middle of the night, reaching the summit just in time for sunrise—easily one of the most magical moments you’ll experience in Bali. This is a private experience, meaning you’ll have a dedicated guide ensuring your safety and pacing the hike according to your ability. Whether you're an experienced hiker or just up for a serious adventure, this trek offers an unforgettable way to experience Mount Agung. What to ExpectPrivate guided trek to the real summit of Mount Agung (3,142m)Challenging but rewarding hike through lush jungle and rocky terrainIncredible sunrise views with a stunning 360-degree panoramaNighttime trek starting from approximately 10:30 PMBreakfast, water, and hot coffee/tea to refuel at the topGood to KnowExpect a tough hike – it takes 7–8 hours to reach the summitBasic fitness is required, and it's best for those comfortable with long treksA private guide is included for safety and supportBring warm clothing – it gets very cold at the summitThis trek is challenging, with steep inclines, rocky paths, and a long hiking duration. We would like to climb Mt Agung for the sunrise of Thursday 19 December. We are staying in Sidemen area. Is the weather currently good enough to do the hike? It's also our only possible day so if weather doesn't allow us to go, can we get a refund?
