Join us for a totally unique experience and become a Biltong Sommelier for the day. A small number of guests will join me, the founder of Baggie's, learning about, tasting and making biltong!We will talk through the history of biltong, the cultural importance to South Africa, where it originates, as well as explain how biltong is made.You will learn how to make biltong. You'll marinade your own beef steak and hang it to cure over the coming days. We'll label it and once it is ready you can come back in to collect. It will taste even better when you have made it yourself!We will also do a tasting of all our cured meats, including trying the different salt flavourings that can be added, and guests will be given 15% off any in-store purchases on the day of the event.

Baggie's Butcher & Deli is located on the bustling Joo Chiat road. Baggie's specialises in hand-making South African meat delicacies as well as importing delicious produce from SA, including unique wines, gins, spices and marinades. Baggie's is most famous for its in-house meat curing and has a large glass-walled biltong room visible from the main shop area, where the meat is hung to dry. Join us for a totally unique experience and become a Biltong Sommelier for the day. The founder of Baggie's will teach you about tasting and making biltong!
