Day 1: Bima - Mt Tambora

You'll journey from Bima to Tambora with scenic local life along the way

Accommodation: Rik's Guesthouse - Double room (Private)

  • Morning: Transfer to Tambora.
  • This will take 5-6 hours by car.
  • Night: Arrive at Tambora
Day 2: Tambora

Today you'll make your way up to the rim of Mount Tambora.

Accommodation: Tambora Camping - Tent (Shared)

  • Morning: 45 mins road journey to the base of Mt Tambora (30 mins by car, and 15 mins by motorbike)
  • Hike up Mount Tambora
  • Afternoon: Spend the night at the crater
Day 3: Tambora

Today you'll get to enjoy a spectacular sunrise view!

Accommodation: Tambora Camping - Tent (Shared)

  • Morning (1am): Wake up and hike to the rim to enjoy the sunrise
  • Spend the day hiking around the volcano and spend the night camping.

Today you'll be hiking back down to the base of Tambora!

  • Morning: Hike back down to the base of Tambora

Covid Cancellation Policy (for bookings after 1 Sept 2020)
If you can't travel because of Covid restrictions, you can choose to get a full refund, Seek Sophie credits (no expiry, 110% of trip value) or reschedule your trip at no additional cost. Your choice, no questions asked.
Usual Cancellation Policy (for Non-Covid reasons)
Cancel for free 5 days before your trip starts. Cancellations after such date will not be eligible for refunds as Visit Tambora would have paid for your trip’s logistics already.
