The stairs are sturdy, have spots to stop at and have a railing to hang on to. Once at the top, you can choose to walk around the Bromo caldera (sand surface).NoteAs this area is relatively new to foreign tourism, most drivers speak very basic English and Jeep operators may not speak any English at all. However your host will organise all the relevant details in advance and you will have access to your host via Whatsapp during the trip.

Hello, I would like to know what clothing and equipment I will need for this trek? Do I need lots of warm clothing, what will the temperature be like? I only have shorts & t-shirt with me so I will need to buy more warm clothing if it is cold. Thank you!
Maddie Roche, 03 Apr 2024
Hi Maddie,
For the trek at Mount Bromo, it's essential to pack a few key items: a dry bag, hat, sunscreen, thick clothes (as temperatures can drop notably, particularly in the early morning and late evening), toiletries, and trekking shoes (simple trainers are suitable). Given the temperature range of about 10°C to 20°C during the day, it's wise to invest in warm clothing, especially considering your current attire of shorts and a t-shirt. Purchasing additional warm clothing will ensure your comfort, particularly for sunrise excursions. If you have any further questions or need more assistance, feel free to ask! :)
