The stairs are sturdy, have spots to stop at and have a railing to hang on to. Once at the top, you can choose to walk around the Bromo caldera (sand surface).NoteAs this area is relatively new to foreign tourism, most drivers speak very basic English and Jeep operators may not speak any English at all. However your host will organise all the relevant details in advance and you will have access to your host via Whatsapp during the trip.

Hi there! Me and a friend of mine are travelling to Surabaya in August, and we would like to visit Mount Bromo and the Tumpak Sewu waterfalls before heading to Bali. We were originally going to pick the 4 day package that takes us to mount Ijen but we were so sad to see it has recently closed! So instead, we would like to forgo the rainbow village and national park and just visit Bromo and Tumpak Sewu instead. Would this be something you would be able to accommodate on this trip, with drop off to Bali? Many thanks, Yasmine.
