It's not safe in Sumba to drive after dark.Even though most itineraries online start from West Sumba, we'd recommend going from East to West Sumba. East Sumba is basically where the more rustic nature is, and West Sumba is where the glam resorts are. By going from East to West, you'll end off your trip with the nicer accommodations.
