Amidst Sinharaja’s jungles lies a unique escape among Sinharaja hotels, one that effortlessly blends a stylish, private retreat with a vast forest environment to enable their guests to have the best possible commune with nature. The Rainforest Ecolodge thrives on a five hundred-acre division of the Enselwatte Tea Estate bordering the South-eastern side of the Sinharaja Rainforest, with its own forest reserve. Guests can enjoy the spellbinding views of the forest from any part of the lodge.
Here you'll arrive at the Rainforest Ecolodge at your leisure, and spend the next day on a medium-intensity 4-5 hour hike exploring the surroundings of the lodge, within the Sinharaja Forest Reserve. The hike will allow you to observe plant and wildlife at a relaxed pace. After the hike, depart early afternoon.

Located high in the misty hills of the southern edge of Sinharaja, Rainforest Ecolodge is sustainably integrated into the fragile ecosystem around it. The lodge is located near the Pitadeniya Entrance, and the walks included here will take you around the expansive, lush surroundings of the Rainforest Ecolodge. If you wish to venture further into the heart of Sinhajara Forest Reserve, the staff will be happy to arrange a park guide for you. This is for people who want a relaxed retreat, deeply enveloped by nature.
