Get the full pottery experience with the potter's wheel & glazing
Want the full pottery experience? This 2-lesson bundle is for you! Learn the whole process, from shaping clay to final masterpiece. It's perfect for beginners and a great way to support a unique mission: founder Joan, a former doctor, left medicine to help people find mental wellness through clay. Her classes, designed with psychologists, are as much about healing as they are about art.Why choose thisMost pottery sessions will have the instructor glaze the pieces for you - so you'll only learn one part of the pottery process. This 2 lesson bundle takes you through the entire process of doing your own pottery, from creating the clay piece on the potter's wheel to glazing the fired up product. Perfect for beginners who want to learn the entire pottery process!Session 1: Wheel-Throwing (2.5 hours)Get hands-on with the mesmerizing pottery wheel! Your instructor will guide you through shaping techniques, and you'll walk away with your own creations ready for glazing. It will take a few weeks for your piece to be fired up, and you will come back for a later session to glaze. Session 2: Glazing (1.5 hours)When your pieces are ready (at a time agreed with your instructor), you can learn to glaze and transform your pieces with color! Choose your glazes and learn how to apply them. Your finished works will be ready later, a beautiful reminder of your creative journey.Important Note:If you are not able to attend the glazing class as arranged with the staff, please inform them 48 hours before the class via email or phone. If you do not turn up or inform them in time, your artworks will be glazed by the staff (you will be informed about the collection of your completed artworks), and the glazing class fees will be non-refundable and non-transferrable.Recommended age 12+

Joan's not just a potter, she's a healer at heart. After years as a doctor, witnessing the toll stress took on her friends, she knew there had to be a better way. That's why she traded her stethoscope for clay, creating a haven where you can find peace through pottery. More than just pottery techniques, her classes have also been designed with psychologists to bring about mental wellness and connecting with oneself. If you crave a creative escape that nourishes your soul, and want to support Joan's mission, her studio is your sanctuary.
