A nature lover's dream. Thrilling adventure exploring Mulu caves + Mt Api.
This 4-day, 3-night adventure through the Mulu Caves and up to the Mt Api Pinnacles is one of those bucket list trips you have to do once in your lifetime.Picture this: you're exploring the planet's largest cave passage at Deer Cave, kayaking through the otherworldly Clearwater Cave (it's HUGE), and then suddenly, you're staring out at the tombstone of giants from atop Mt Api. It's seriously gorgeous.Your guides are basically like walking, talking encyclopedias of Borneo - they'll have you navigating the trails and caves like a pro (even if you've never set foot in a rainforest before!).This experience includes a visit to the Lang Cave, Deer Cave, Clearwater Cave, and Wind Cave, as well as the Gunung Api (Pinnacles viewing) climb, entrance fees, a boat ride, meals, English-speaking guides, and return transfer from Mulu Airport. What to ExpectExplore world-renowned caves: Lang Cave, Deer Cave, Wind Cave, Clearwater Cave, and Lady's CaveWitness the incredible bat exodus at Deer CaveSwim and picnic by the pristine Clearwater SpringHike through untouched rainforest to Camp 5Conquer the challenging ascent to the Mt Api Pinnacles viewpoint - be prepared for a very strenuous hike!Enjoy authentic meals prepared amidst stunning natural sceneryPrivate accommodation before the trek and join-in trekking and camping experienceGood to knowBe prepared for a very physically demanding but rewarding trek. Some even say that this is where the Malaysian special forces train their troops - so it's short but definitely not easy! We highly recommend that you train up for this hike a few months in advance.Minimum recommended age is 16 years old. Pack appropriate gear for both rainforest hiking and cave exploration.Don't forget your swimsuit for a refreshing dip in Clearwater Spring.A small amount of cash for the compulsory guide tipping (RM50/pax) is customary.Accommodation choicesThe night before your journey, you will have three choices of accommodation, the homely Bernarat Lodge, the luxurious Marriott, or Mulu National Park HQ - just choose on your booking form. Please note that Mulu National Park HQ offers two room types: Rainforest Lodge and Longhouse Chalet (Twin beds). Your room will be assigned based on availability.Add on available for Mulu National Park HQ if you want to have an extra night.
