Meet your host
Desmond is a local boy. He grew up in a small shophouse outpost in the middle of the jungle on the banks of the river that brought in goods from the native tribes which his family traded for sundry products from their shop. During his youth, he learned the local languages. His knowledge and immersion with the locals goes as deep as ink under his skin - each arm boasts a traditional tattoo - one from the Iban tribe and one from the Bidayuh. Desmond brings to light not only the traditions of the local tribes but also the long history of diverse people - the native tribes and the Chinese living side by side
