This is a full-day rafting experience on Padas river, which includes a cool 19th century train journey through Sabah's countryside!Ride a historic train and raft through the heart of Sabah on this unique adventure. Start with a nostalgic journey on the Padas train, passing lush landscapes and remote villages. This train is one of Borneo’s last remaining heritage railways and offers a glimpse into Sabah’s rich history. At Pangi Basecamp, fuel up with a hearty local breakfast before embarking on a thrilling white-water rafting experience. With Class III and IV rapids, the Padas River promises 1.5 to 2 hours of adrenaline-pumping action, surrounded by untouched rainforest. After your rafting adventure, enjoy a delicious local lunch and take the heritage train back to Tenom, soaking in the views once more. Perfect for thrill-seekers and history buffs, this is the ultimate way to experience Sabah’s wild side. What to expectEarly Start: Be prepared for a 4:00 AM hotel pick-up for the 3-hour drive to Tenom Train Station. Are there any trips my 13, 9, and 7yo kids can participate in? They went whitewater rafting in Phuket last year with rapids II-III and loved it. My 6yo sat in the middle during the class III parts. Please let us know. Thank you.
