This 3-day, 2-night adventure plunges you into the heart of Khao Sok, where you'll trade city sounds for rustling leaves and chirping birds. Your home base is a charming riverside resort run by Bodhi and Tu, a family deeply rooted in the local community. Get ready for a unique blend of jungle serenity and authentic Thai hospitality – think canoe rides down the Sok River, optional night safaris, and even a chance to upgrade your afternoon with a traditional Thai massage. The real highlight? Embark on a journey to the majestic Cheow Lan Lake, a haven cradled by dramatic limestone cliffs and emerald waters. Here, you'll spend the night in a rustic floating bungalow, a world away from Wi-Fi and city noise.What to ExpectChoice of River Adventure: Depending on the season, you can explore the Sok River with a peaceful canoe ride or enjoy the thrill of tubing through the current during the rainy season. Both activities are available from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Tubing is only available from July to December due to the higher water levels in the river.Cheow Lan Lake Exploration: This scenic boat ride through beautiful limestone cliffs is a visual treat. It's one of Thailand’s natural wonders that you’ll remember for a lifetime.You will be accompanied by a local long-tail boat driver who speaks very limited English. He will be able to help you locate wildlife, however he may not be able to share a lot of in depth information.Kayaking or Jungle Hiking: Whether you want to explore the lake by paddling through its crystal-clear waters or trek hidden trails deep into the jungle, these activities give you the freedom to tailor your adventure.Floating Rafthouse Stay: Spending a night on a floating bamboo bungalow is a one-of-a-kind experience. The rustic yet serene atmosphere, surrounded by the emerald waters and lush jungle, brings you closer to nature.Morning Mist Safari: Gliding across Cheow Lan Lake in the early morning mist is a magical experience. Keep an eye out for wildlife like hornbills and gibbons as they emerge with the dawn.TipsPack Light but Smart: Bring essentials like insect repellent, sunscreen, a hat for sun protection, comfortable hiking shoes that can get wet, and quick-dry clothing for water activities. Don’t forget your swimwear for the lake, a jacket for cooler nights on the water, and a small towel. Additionally, please bring your own soap and shampoo.Get Active: Take advantage of the adventure options like kayaking, jungle hiking, and swimming. These activities give you a chance to explore the area in different ways and connect with nature.Stay Hydrated: The jungle can be humid, so carry a reusable water bottle and stay hydrated throughout your adventure.Bring Waterproof Gear: Whether you're canoeing, tubing, or simply floating on the lake, having a waterproof bag for your phone, camera, and other valuables is a must.Cash is King: Remember to bring enough cash to cover the National Park entrance fees, pier fees, and optional jungle hike wildlife sanctuary fees.Important NotesThe entrance fees for Khao Sok National Park (both the Headquarters zone and Cheow Lan Lake zone), the pier at Cheow Lan Lake, and the wildlife sanctuary are not included in the package and must be paid separately. These fees typically range from 300 to 540 THB per person, payable in cash, but are subject to change based on the park's policies. Please ensure you bring enough cash to cover these fees.The Resort does not accept credit cards. There is an ATM in the nearby town if you need to withdraw cash.The floating raft house on day 2 is simple and rustic, so it may not offer all the modern comforts, but it provides an authentic nature experience. Be prepared for basic amenities and a shared bathroom. There are no fans or air conditioning, and you will find a mattress on the floor accompanied by a simple pillow and blanket. Towels, shampoo, and soap are not provided, so please bring your own. Additionally, there is no mosquito net, as the location above the water prevents mosquitoes at night.Khao Sok's weather can be unpredictable, so be prepared for sudden rain showers, especially during the wet season. Please note that the itinerary may be subject to change due to weather conditions, guide recommendations, or the availability of raft houses on any given day.Once you arrive at the floating rafthouse, you’ll be off the grid! There is no mobile signal, so it’s the perfect chance to truly disconnect and immerse yourself in nature.The rafthouse operates on limited electricity. During the daytime, there will be no power, but it’s available in the evenings from 5 PM - 5 AM for basic lighting and charging devices. Cancellations & No Shows PoliciesIf you cancel 8 to 14 days before your arrival, you will be charged 50% of your total booking cost.If you cancel within 7 days of your arrival or do not show up, you will be charged 100% of your total booking cost.
