Leave the hustle bustle city of Bali, experience the most fun outdoor activity - ATV quad bike at Batur volcano. Get a different perspective from the ground level of Mt Batur, experiencing the scope of the lava eruption in the year 2000, all while having a fun time riding an ATV! What to ExpectStart The timing of the trip does not require you to wake up too early, but you do need to be at the starting location at around 8am. From there you will get assigned an ATV and instructions on how it works. Your guide will provide you with safety instructions and provide you with a helmet. These ATVs are also semi-automatic, making it quite easy to operate, even for a complete newbie. The Landscape Once you are comfortable on the ATV you will get on the way. You will pass by Yeh Mampeh villages getting to see farm lands where locals plant various vegetables such as tomatoes and onions. Following the village, you will also cross through a lush green forest. Finally you will arrive at an expensive lava field from the eruption in year 2000, where the black sand landscape seemingly goes on forever. This is a truly impressive and otherworldly sight - a true testament to Mt Batur's ferocious power. From here you will also be able to see Mt Batur, making for a truly unique backdrop. Wrap Up After a few hours, giving you enough time to soak up the views and get all the best photos, you will head back to the starting point. From there you can head to the hot springs to enjoy a soak in the hot waters, naturally heated by Mt Batur's volcanic activity.
