Fantastic little place. I felt welcome immediately, and was provided with tea, water and a few snacks. I did the wood carving for the first time, and the instructor was very patient and interesting. It was clear he really loves his craft. It took about 2.5 hours total.

I had a lovely time at the studio. I was the only one participating so I could get help when ever I needed it but he let me do most of the carving myself. You get a rough shape that has already been sawn out and than do the actual carving and sanding. He did the soft sanding at the end with a machine. If you want to you can dye the wood darker. The host was the most patient human on the planet and very kind.

One of the best experiences we had in Bali. The host is extremely good at wood crafting but more importantly in teaching us how to handle the tools for the best outcome. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a unique experience in Bali. If you like wood, you’ll definitely appreciate this experience and you’ll be going home with your own handmade piece!

Natalie, her master craftsman and assistant were absolutely fantastic. They couldn't have done anything else to make my day with them a perfectly wonderful experience. As I was the only "student" this day, they tailor-made the experience to my requirement, so the model making ended up a furniture making experience. This taught me the basic joints which will be helpful for me at home. Thank you creative bamboo team from "mister" Bill for a wonderful & memorable day. (& I've got a stool to take home).
