The best part of my trip to Bali in April 2025 was jungle trekking and canoeing, plus Banyu Wana Amertha waterfalls. Perfect organisation, caring guides, breathtaking views, all in spirit of adventure. Komang Dodik was my guide. I would certainly recommend for those who seek something exciting to do in Bali off beaten path.

My husband, two sons (12 & 14) and I had the best day with Putu as our driver and guide. He went the extra mile when it came to making a personal connection and conversation. We learned so much and enjoyed his company for a very full 12 hour day!! I really loved this tour because Seek Sophie talks about connecting through a more authentic experience while traveling and supporting local families and you could really see that in action as we met people along the way. Our first stop was the fruit market where we bought a ton of fresh fruit to bring home. We also tasted a few new fruits we had never tried! Snake fruit?! Mangosteen? So good! Then breakfast at a local spot on the road where we played with a puppy and had a nice meal. From there, we drive to the starting point our 3 hour walk/trek through the rainforest with another lovely guide (also named Putu) who was a pleasure and very informative. Next up, a canoe ride across a serene (we were the only canoe) Tamblingan Lake where we walked to lunch in Putu x 2 village (both Putus live in this village) and met their families along the way. We met up with our driver/guide Putu at his neighbor's house and he opened coconuts for us to drink and served the most amazing fresh - and possibly the best/most fresh - lunch I've had in Bali (rice, curry chicken, vegetable soup and corn fritters). We then had a beautiful walk to Banyumala Waterfall where we were given plenty of time to explore. Finally, we fed and had a visit with the monkeys on our way home. The best part of the day was seeing how the local community was supporting each other and engaging with beautiful local Balinese people through these great experiences that didn't feel touristy. Highly recommend this great company and tour! Everyone really put their all into the experience. **Please remember to tip along the way! This is not expected, but I could tell it was appreciated!**

I had an absolutely fantastic day! I originally booked the trip because I wanted to see the waterfalls, but I’m so glad I got to experience so much more than just Bali’s waterfalls. I’m really happy I found the Seek Sophie website—I love their approach of supporting local communities, wildlife, and our planet. The day started with a visit to a local fruit market where I tried some incredibly delicious fruit, including a few I had never tasted before. Then we had breakfast cooked by a local family—an amazing banana pancake, a very tasty omelet, and some delicious Balinese coffee. We then hiked through the rainforest with Putu, our guide. She was lovely, knowledgeable, and showed us fascinating things about the forest’s ecosystem. After that, we canoed across a beautiful lake before heading to the waterfalls. It did rain quite a bit toward the end, but since it’s the rainy season, we were actually really lucky to have beautiful weather for most of the day. Our guide for the entire trip was Yoga—he was also our driver and picked us up in the morning. He was a great communicator before the trip and confirmed the pick up time. Yoga was incredible, kind, informative, and attentive. He took such great care of us, introduced us to local customs, and gave us great insight into Balinese life. I also felt lucky to be in such a small and lovely group. I had an incredible day and thoroughly enjoyed talking with Yoga. Thank you for a truly unforgettable experience! I can’t recommend their services enough.
