Great experience to see Ijen, Bromo and Tumpak Sewa waterfall with all accommodation, tours and transfers included. Our driver Wahyu was brilliant - always very friendly and very safe, even when driving in the middle of the night.
The accommodation at Ijen was the best, the other 2 places were quite basic but did the job, especially when you will have very early starts (leaving 7am for the waterfall, 2am for Bromo, and even 11pm for Ijen though we postponed to midnight).
In my opinion Mount Bromo was the best. Absolutely incredible views. The views of Ijen were incredible but I definitely wouldn't recommend hiking down to the blue fire. Absolutely packed full of tourists and quite dangerous at the bottom as crowds of tourists are shoving each other to get close to the blue fire. We left the hotel at midnight in order to see the blue fire at night. I would much rather have left later, arrived in time for sunrise and then hiked down to the crater when it's light already. That way you can still enjoy the views but will enjoy the hike more since the crowds will have already left.

The trip was amazing. I would have given 5 stars but the itinerary was not in the order we were told. It didn’t make a difference but it would have been nice to know. Also it said we would have English speaking guides and driver but they understood very little. It worked out fine and wasn’t a big deal but we just didn’t know what was going on sometimes.

Es war ein wunderschöner und toller Trip. Unser Guide Arif war wirklich sehr zuvorkommend und nett. Konnte uns auch viele Tipps für die kommenden Tage geben.

The tour was very good. Car with aircon, comfortable seats (even to lean back like a bed) and a nice driver. The accomodation was good expect by the waterfall. There the room had no window and was dark.
The trips to the spots were with local guides. It depends of this guide how the experience at the spots is. We had one superkind and nice guide, in another place the guide seemed not to motivated.
The driver and some local guides spoke wuit good english.
We liked mount bromo and tumpak sewu a lot. The mount ijen was impressiv but too crowded for our opinion.
All in all it was a recommondable trip and is worth its mony.

The ride to Bali really made a dent in the full experience. DO NOT book an add on for that much money. We paid EUR70 for a boat, plus ride to Bali (which is next to your last day destination Ijen, the boat is 10k and a grab to Bali is 700-800k). We arrived and got the most uncomfortable ride imaginable without AC (4H drive after hiking Ijen the whole night - aka stinky and sweaty). Not sure how that’s EUR35 a person.
Other than that, the whole experience in Java was amazing. Our driver Arif was just the sweetest. When one of us got sick he even made sure to stop at a local fruit market to get some vitamines. Truly amazing experience. Just book the add on yourself - the harbour to Bali is like 40 mins from Ijen

I traveled to Mount Bromo and Ijen in October 2023. The transfers were very smooth and I could just focus on enjoying the moment, which I very much did, from seeing the sunrise on Mount Bromo to witnessing the blue fire in Ijen, I will remember this trip for a long time
