Boat Cruise in Vietnam

Nice trip with amazing food! Quite pricy but to avoid the crowds it’s best to stay over. Cause on day two it was just us kayaking and swimminig the lagoons. Amazing!

Nice  trip with amazing food! Quite pricy but to avoid the crowds it’s best to stay over. Cause on day two it was just us kayaking and swimminig the lagoons. Amazing!

Obviously the landscape is stunning! The rooms are very comfortable and have a huge window so you wake up to a truly incredible view. Food onboard was good. I would recommend bringing water shoes for kayaking if you stop at some of the beaches there are a lot of sharp oyster shells &amp; lots of trash from fishing so protect your feet! We were the only native English speakers on our boat, nearly everyone else was French but all information was delivered in English &amp; crew had very limited French. 

The Viet Hai Village &amp; Fish Massage was our least favourite part, it was a little uncomfortable. Every Cafe/restaurant is desperate for tourist business &amp; so many of them have ponds for the fish massage too, it is a strange place. But the walk after through the cave and to the Ancient Village was amazing. 

At the Fish Farm there was no information provided to us about it but it was still cool to see.

3D2N Boutique Cat Ba Cruise | Rare Archaeological Cave Visit

First of all, the information on the Seek Sophie site is not entirely correct, as it mentions the group size is up to 30 guests. We spoke to the crew and the boat can take upto 50-60 guests.
 The boat itself is very stylish, the food is great and the crew is extremely friendly and helpful. The general atmosphere on board is very fun. 
 What we didn't really like, was the 30-40 min stop during our transfer from Hanoi, in some sort of silk and bamboo factory, which felt like an utter tourist trap. However, there were a lot of other cruise-busses, so it seems most of them are making some sort of stop like this. It just would have been nice to have known about this beforehand. Also, the 'caves' weren't much to look at, they were more tunnels than caves, but being rowed by a local was kinda nice.

Cat Ba Ocean Cruises was an absolute dream of a boat and vacation. They thought of every detail on the boat, the food, and itinerary. You really get to experience Cat Ba Island in a super unique and local way. We did the 3D2N option and were so happy to have a lot of time on the water. 

We enjoyed our trip very much but I think its important to note that the boat is very cute, smaller than the larger cruise boats but very spacious; however, there is a constantly stream of people getting on and off the boat. It operates more as a floating hotel and launch point than a small group traveling together for 3D2N. The vibe was more transient than we expected.

I highly recommend doing Tai Chi one of the mornings, the breeze and movements while the sun rises is really something in Cat Ba. We have already recommended to our friends for their future trips.

3D2N Cat Ba Boutique Cruise | Cat Ba National Park & Clam Digging

Cat Ba Ocean Cruises was an absolute dream of a boat and vacation.  They thought of every detail on the boat, the food, and itinerary.  You really get to experience Cat Ba Island in a super unique and local way.  We did the 3D2N option and were so happy to have a lot of time on the water.  

We enjoyed our trip very much but I think its important to note that the boat is very cute, smaller than the larger cruise boats but very spacious; however, there is a constantly stream of people getting on and off the boat.  It operates more as a floating hotel and launch point than a small group traveling together for 3D2N.  The vibe was more transient than we expected.

I highly recommend doing Tai Chi one of the mornings, the breeze and movements while the sun rises is really something in Cat Ba. We have already recommended to our friends for their future trips.

Unfortunately most of the lounge chairs were broken (very cheap) and the itinerary was misleading (no night kayak with bioluminescent plankton, squid fishing or morning tai chi on the deck as outlined) so that was disappointing. The small group was wonderful (14 guests) and although only together for 24 hours, it was great to bond. Evening karaoke is a must. Overall, I would recommend and just as beautiful and way less touristy than Ha Long Bay

It was without a doubt the best cruise of our lives! Room number 1 was absolutely extraordinary, with a stunning view—perfect for a honeymoon. With such a small group, we felt like we had the bay all to ourselves. Great activities, and a lovely, welcoming guide. A must-do!!!

We booked the cruise last minute, they were very helpful and made sure we had all the info we needed. 

We were given the bus details for pickup, however it changed on the morning and the tour guide called us to let us know. This seems to be very common, not just with this company, that buses change.
