Our guide, San May, was very friendly and helpful. We did the adventurous route, and she was very caring and guided us throughout the whole experience. Getting insights in the local village customs and farming practices was very educational and fun! Definitely would recommend, as it also felt very personal and non-touristy.

We were surprised on how beautiful the location was since we have no idea what to expect. The host and his wife is wonderful, kind, accommodating and considerate. We felt safe and at home immediately despite the language barrier. We’ve got to experience the real H’mong culture and we fell in love with the community. The room is clean and comfortable with complete amenities. The best experience we had in Vietnam. Highly recommended and will definitely go back if we have the chance.

We had a fantastic tour with our guide, San May. Amazing views, a fantastic lunch and learning a lot about the region. Getting out of the main areas was also lovely, because it was quiet and peaceful. The trail was muddy and rocky so wear comfortable shoes fit for those conditions, but only a medium level of fitness is required.

We had an incredible hike with our guide Pey with beatiful scenery. The route was truly beatiful and off the tourist beaten track. The weather was a different story with heavy rain and land slides. Pey took us safely across rivers and through corn fields. I highly recommend Sapa O'Chau and will definetely come back.

Absolutely Worth It!
This homestay is totally worth every cent—I absolutely loved my stay here! The food they served was incredibly delicious, and the host was so friendly and welcoming. They consistently checked in to make sure I was okay and did everything to ensure my stay was comfortable.
Now for the room—wow! I had a private room with an attached toilet, and it was amazing. The view from my bed was beautiful, and the cleanliness was top-notch—100%! The toilet had hot water, and the bed was super comfortable. I had one of the best nights of rest here.

We loved being “off the beaten path” and being in the midst of the rice fields. Lunch was authentic home-cooked food and was amazing as well.
We went in June (rainy season), and it rained throughout the trek. We recommend checking the weather before you embark on the trek to be adequately prepared (with umbrellas, ponchos etc).
There will likely be friendly Hmong locals who approach you and strike conversation, just keep in mind that they are street vendors who sell souvenirs.
Overall, a unique experience for those looking for something different and more adventurous! :)
