It was absolutely fantastic. I arrived early at the homestay in ha Giang and was offered to stay overnight which was perfect. In the morning Long , told me that I was the only one who booked the tour (i was there very spontaneously and I think at the beginning of the off season - so he put me in a group with a friend of his. The itinerary stayed the same but he told me the homesatys could be different. In the end I was with a couple so we were 3 people and 6 people in total. The easy drivers were so nice and funny and the people from the other group were fantastic. Heads up: it gets bumpy , you s it a lot on a bike so you might get a little sore and your butts gonna hurt a little , might take a cushion or something with you if possible ;) The tour was really really really nice! Stunning views, we went past some Of the crowded pit stops and took a coffee or water at less crowded places , we swam in a river and a cave , we drove on a little path that’s for sure not on google maps (as advertised) and through beautiful villages and it felt like the tour really was off the beaten path! The first homestay was breathtaking , really nice and the food overall was good as well. The second homestay was not really nice , due to overbooking by some other companies there were no rooms left for us so we had to stay somewhere else. Tbh not really nice , but I think that’s not their fault. Was fine for the night. The experiences made up for it. Like for real, the scenery and landscapes are unreal , and everything else went smoothly! So I highly recommend it! After the tour I was coming back to dragon home (the local organizer - his names Long) Was offered a shower and he helped me book me a bus back to Hanoi (not included in the 3D2N package) including a transfer to the bus station. Overall , I had three awesome days , unbelievable views and landscapes and I can highly recommend the tour and experiencing this part of Vietnam like this - everybody should do this at least one time in their life.

What an adventure with the Dragon team! They made sure we were all safe, but more than that, they really looked after us. Vanh, our amazing leader and driver, was so welcoming! He shared so much about the area, it felt like we were exploring with a friend. And I loved that it was a peaceful trip – no crazy party scene, just good company and beautiful scenery

One of the best experiences I’ve had in a long time. It’s liberating, this tour. I booked the tour + round trip bus. Travelled solo, realise I got the tour dates wrong when I was already at the bus station ready to depart from Hanoi to Hagiang, got help from the Dragon team, everything via text. Long (bossman) of the team was responsive and immediately changed my bus date earlier, he also shifted my tour dates earlier to accommodate to my mistake. Grateful! Also for over thinkers like myself, here are a few things I wish someone told me before going on the tour. I did this in the last week of March: 1. Unlike what you watch on YouTube, this tour is a small tour. I’ve asked the team and they mentioned that the fleet size usually doesn’t go beyond 6. The tour I was on was 6, it’s a comfortable amount. 2. Homestay was good by their standards, I’ve got no complaints. Basic necessities were provided. I bunked with a fellow traveller. Just two of us, and an ensuite toilet. 3. Food was great, you’d be sharing about 8-9 dishes tgt with your group (excluding drivers). Drinks are provided only for lunch. 4. Bring cash along with you! For coffee during the pitstops they make. And beer in the evening. A coffee would cost about 30-40k viet dong, and 20-35k for beer. 5. The day typically starts at 9am after breakfast, and ends at 4pm. We explored the city, and I really recommend this. The locals are very friendly and you see them just living their lives. 6. Our motorbike riders were constantly looking out for us, making sure we’re okay and comfortable. Can get goofy and that’s how we all have fun! They are also safe drivers so don’t worry. It’ll be a good time. 7. Be ready to get a little sore after sitting on the bike. The trick is to relax and not tense up. Honestly, you don’t always have to hold on to something, it’s pretty stable for most parts! Just book this trip already. It’s a cheaper alternative to i.e. NZ/Aussie/US road trips. Besides you’re on a motorbike, there’s nothing between you and nature.
