Rudy was very accommodating and helpful during my trip. He was always available for questions and recommendations. My guide was excellent, sharing intimate knowledge of the area and offering encouragement when needed!!

This was an amazing experience. We did the 3 day trek and was blown away. We each had a porter that carried all our food and camp setup. The food they cooked for us was amazing and they never repeated a meal. Honestly I have no idea how they do it. Our guide was amazing as well. It was the most challenging hike I’ve done to date (the summit being the hardest) but we made it in time for the sunrise!

Wonderful hike (summit plus Torean descent) - I highly recommend that route! Our Guide Kundin was super helpful and knowledgeable and the food was always great. Transfers from Airport and to the Gili Islands were organized by Rudy Trekker.
I found the ascent to be more challenging than Gunung Kinabalu due to the sandy terrain, just in case someone needs a point of reference:)

We had a wonderful half day walking through the kampungs and rice fields around Senaru. Yumi and Malai were wonderful guides who were happy to share their knowledge on the culture, flora and fauna of the region. We finished up with a visit to a beautiful waterfall but the absolute highlight for us had to be having a delicious dinner of local dishes (the tempeh was wonderful) while sat in a farmers bamboo shack in the middle of the rice terraces. Definitely recommend the walk and Rinjani women adventure we will definitely use them again when we next back in Lombok - perhaps we will do the volcano next time!!

Did the Torean route and it blew my mind. I've done hikes in New Zealand and Switzerland and the views here are comparable. Lush valleys, waterfalls, etc I still can't believe I was in Asia. We heard from the locals that the Torean route was created by the earthquake so most people still don't know about it.
Basically the only difference between the Torean route and the others is that after summit, you come down a different way from everyone else. On the Torean route you get an EPIC view of the mountains and valley. As you come down, you eventually walk through the valley with the mountains flanking your sides. Very cool and because it’s so green, I felt like I was in Hawaii (like the islands in the movie Moana!). Need to be careful though because one wrong step and you literally tumble down the mountain…
Bruno, my guide, was awesome – he even massaged my thighs when I had a cramp - total legend! Food was SO good, like a mountain warung. I honestly didn't expect food to be so good up on the mountain. There was a fruit platter with every meal!!
Tips:
- It's tough! Even fit hikers should do the 4-day for a bit more time and to enjoy the views.
- There's a ton of food but you should bring snacks just in case! you'll be grateful for it.
- If it’s raining / bad weather, the guides won’t bring guests through the mountain/valley Torean route because its very slippery and dangerous. So if you're super set on Torean, then avoid rainy season.
- The sleeping arrangements are comfy. There's a tent with foam mat and sleeping bag on top.

A really beautiful and interesting trek. Our guides were knowledgeable and easy to chat with, and took great care of us. We saw stunning waterfalls, jungle, rice paddy, and traditional village life. We also had a delicious picnic lunch in the middle of the paddy fields. Everything was smooth and well organised and communication was excellent. Thank you!
