We did the 1-day fansipan hike + cable car descent, went with Hmang (not sure if spelt properly) as our guide and he was great! Great energy & passionate about the nature in the forests. I was worried about not finishing on time for the cable car last descent (430-5pm), but we reached the summit about 3pm. Recommend bringing hiking pole to help with the ascend (especially if it gets rainy & wet), and many snacks and at least 2.5L of water for sufficient hydration. It's about 6+h of hiking! Thankful that the day we went weather was amazing and got to see the views. Also appreciate the pick up & drop off service. Overall the hike was great, the only downside was lunch was DIY sandwich (ham, tomato, cucumber, peanut, with butter & jam spread) at the little cook house. Would've much preferred if we were given hot food, like what the other trekkers were eating.

Dong was amazing! She was super friendly and helpful throughout the climb. We never thought we’d reach the summit in a day but we somehow made it.

Phenomenal experience doing the rice Paddy trek with Zizi Homestay. Our local guide was Bau, who was very knowledgeable and helped us take photos. She also knew all the good photo spots and taught us some Hmong language. Lunch provided was delicious. Could also pick up some very unique marble/stone sculptures a long the trek at a special shop in Lao Chai village. Some other local ladies helped us through some of the muddy/slippery areas of the trek - we helped them out by buying some scarves/hats. Our shoes were super muddy after the trek, but all in all a great experience. Better make sure you have proper hiking shoes or boots with good grip, may only be suitable for much older kids like older teenagers considering the trek difficulty. Thank you!
