Wow this has been my fav experience in Bali to date đĽ°đĽšđ¤Š. Very deep and meaningful- and highly recommended if youâre looking for connection (with yourself / others / the powers that may be etc).
Putu has been a great hostess and spiritual guide, she has been very welcoming and a peaceful presence. Sheâs been supported by her cousins, which were incredibly lovely, careful and attentive (including taking pics đ) I am gonna miss having someone to dress and feed me haha. I am incredibly grateful to them all for such a meaningful experience đđť

It was so inspirational and educational learning about the âbring back the lightâ initiative and seeing the fireflies light up. Truly appreciate the experience and all the work that you guys do and the yummy Balinese food! Unforgettable experience. As for tips I would just recommend socks and runners if possible as I had open toe slippers on and got ant bites on the rice field while foraging for natural leaves for dinner (fun experience but Iâd come more prepared next time they were painful bites!)

Highly recommend doing Batik Art class with Five Arts Studio. I did this with my 5 year old daughter and she had a great time.
The staff were patient and friendly. This was alot of fun.

We took the Mt Batur Sunrise tour. Booking was easy and confirmation was very quick.
I received a WhatsApp message with contact number for Justin immediately.
Justin coordinated the tour and sent instruction of things to prepare. I also received the contact number of the driver.
Our driver Yosi was excellent and turned up early for our pickup. The long drive from Nusa Dua was smooth and Yosi choose the smoothest route possible.
We met our guide Wi at the village and started boat ride and trek. The head lamps and walking stick worked very well and Wi took very good care of us. There were slippery parts that he pulled me up and he always made sure we were safe. I was grateful for the 1 hour trek instead of a 3 hour one that others took on Mount Batur.
The view was lovely and the hot and simple breakfast was a nice touch. Views of Mt Abang and Mt Agung were a bonus.
We opted to go to Akasa cafe on the way back. The view and food were well worth the stop.

I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to learn about Balinese nature and culture away from the touristspots! Wayan and his family are lovely and super welcoming. They showed me around their land, thought me about the fireflies and cooked the most delicious meal for me. Seeing the fireflies in the rice fields at night was magical! This was a day I will not soon forget. Thank you Wayan and family! <3
