The farm host will have strict cleaning protocols in between guests checking out and preparation for the next guest's check-in. Particular attention will be given to the shared spaces. Visiting guests will have to declare travel history and rest assured that you will have an individual chalet to yourself. **Please also note that the host will only accept guests from Penang (no cross-state guests) until further notice.

This is a stay (breakfast included, & free bike rental) in Nature Fruit Farm, a cool, rustic durian farm located in Balik Pulau, Penang. Experience slow-paced country-living with the hosts, Mr Tan and Jenny.
There are free bicycles, which guests may use to visit the nearby vegetable farms, paddy fields and even a fishing village. If you are feeling more adventurous, the beach is only a 30 minutes ride away.
Breakfast is complimentary and Jenny will be happy to whip up a meal if you wish to eat local food. Additionally, tropical fruit tastings (including durians!) are available and Mr Tan will also be happy show you his orchard.

Mr Tan who grew up in the countryside has always been a lover of antiques and nature. Back in 2005, he turned a piece of land to an orchard retreat because he didn't want drastic development pressure to be applied to the agricultural land in Balik Pulau. Nature Fruit Farm has become a passion project of Mr Tan and his wife, Jenny. Much of the place features recycled materials, with a rustic touch so guests can have a country living experience. They also cater well to fellow foodies, the place serves tropical fruits and delicious local dishes.

Stayed a day for a sudden trip after persuasiveness from my 3 kids. Even though the road was not that good as it is preferred to use SUV or 4WD to drive there.Not too bad bad as I was driving my sedan Passat(I love My Car) but no harm done to my car. Arrived at 6pm and the sudden change of new environment for my kids surprised them. Initially they where a bit worried as the drive into the stay was too deep but after they see the Hill Top villa they were amazed. Tan and Jenny was very friendly host and always willing to help. Jenny is a good cook too and surprised us with her traditional style of food which is Steamed Fish with Cili Padi and Soya sauce was delicious. This dish is not part of the package. Our stay was on top of the hill which I find worth walking up. Scenery was awesome. The Durians here I find it have their own unique taste, especially the smaller size durians. Highly recommend this place for a family who love nature and not forgetting our companion friend for our trekking walk Ben and Jerry. Superb Nature Dog and companion. Jenny's fried Jack Fruit for breakfast was one of a kind.

It is a perfect homestay at Balik Pulau, the owners are friendly and the place is so clean and well maintained. What surprised me further is the durian salad, such an invention ! It is deginitely a must go place in Balik Pulau. I have been there, have you ?

Friendly hosts who go out of their way to ensure your comfort, and suggest some sights to see and activities around the area. Fresh juice from the farm any time and great traditional Malaysian and Chinese designs and artefacts on the property

It’s great for kids who grow up in cities. Love the environment, the hosts, fruits and the dogs. Cannot wait to go back.
