Macramé décor is back in trend, and along with indoor plants - are two of the hottest hobbies around. Combine these two, and ta-da! - you have a crafty, cosy, stylish home décor piece (and all natural too!).One of the easiest Macramé projects to get started with is a plant hanger. Macramé plant hangers are the perfect small space solution because they can be hung on the wall or from the ceiling, freeing up shelf space for other things. In this 2Hr hour workshop, you will learn how to make a boho-chic inspired plant holder to display them indoors or outdoors. You will be learning the basic knots such as the half square knot, also known as the spiral knot, and a few others to help you get started on macramé-making. The art of macramé is to knot and form functional patterns to place your plants/plant holder in! The techniques you will learn in this class are helpful if you plan to venture out into the macramé world! You will be able to take home the plant holder you made at the end of the session. What is Macramé?Macramé is a technique or method of crafting a textile that uses several knots to form the basic shape and function of the piece. Each knot can be created with your hands, and there are no other tools required other than a mounting ring to keep the item in place while you work. For something to be considered macramé, the project should incorporate at least one macramé knot. In most cases, macramé projects are pieced together with several knots. In some cases, you can have macramé elements joined with other techniques like weaving or knitting.  Important Note:Pictures are for illustration purposes only. Materials used may differ, subject to availability at the time of the workshop.
