This is a 3-hour Kombucha brewing masterclass with one of the top brewers in Singapore. All our friends who have ever tried kombucha from Craft & Culture swear it's the best they've ever had. This masterclass will cover the science behind Kombucha and why it's so good for us, as well as teach you how to achieve more complex flavours of kombucha. Option DetailsWith over 20 years of fermentation experience, Craft & Culture are the ideal instructors for beginners wanting to brew their own healthy and delicious Kombucha. Winne, the instructor and co-founder with a background in medical science and organic chemistry, will impart all her knowledge and methods so that you can make your own kombucha at home.This 3 hour masterclass comprises 2 parts. The first part is the introduction to Kombucha which will cover the basics, where you'll be able to make simple kombucha and understand the process. The second part will teach you to make different flavours of kombucha, as well as fizzy kombucha. Introduction to Kombucha (2 hours) ✔️ Kombucha: What's in it and what makes it so special✔️ The importance of fermentation and probiotics✔️ Proper techniques to sterilise your equipment to prevent the formation of harmful microbes ✔️ Hands-on practice on how to make kombucha✔️ What not to do (This might be more important than what to do)✔️ Tasting of various flavoured kombucha by Craft & CultureAdvanced Kombucha Making (1 hour) ✔️ The art of tea selections and blends + tea tasting ✔️ How to prepare for Second Fermentation✔️ How to flavour kombucha - 3 ways with 3 different results!✔️ How to make fizzy kombuchas - a healthy soda alternative✔️ Make 1 Kombucha-related item to take home and learn how to incorporate novel uses of Kombucha in your daily livesEach workshop participant will get the Kombucha Kit containing: a secret gift (curious?), starter kit containing your very own scoby culture, recipe and instruction guide to kick off your kombucha experiments, all raw materials and containers as necessary, and last but not least, member's-only access on Craft & Culture's Facebook, where you'll find useful tips and resources. Important Note- Products shown in image may vary from actual products in the class depending on the availability of raw materials. - Light cleaning and washing will be done by the participant- Participants have to bring their own bags to bring their ferments home. Bags will not be provided.- Each class requires a min number of persons to run. In the event that the participation rate is not met within 48 hours of the class date, Craft & Culture reserves the right to provide rescheduling options or cancel the class. - Should there be any unforeseen circumstances resulting in rescheduling/cancellation of the workshop by Craft & Culture, participants will be informed via text messages/email. Participants may choose to get a refund in full/use store credit.
