This is a stylish catamaran trip that takes you island hopping around Komodo National Park. This option goes to more unusual places than the usual 1-day itinerary and covers Mawan Island (which is the lesser-known area that's as good for Manta Ray sightings as Manta Point), and Turtle Bay. This is great for snorkellers as you can swim with mantas and turtles, while enjoying the white and pink beaches. Of course, you'll also trek to spot Komodo Dragons!

OMG! It was an amazing experience sailing with Flores XP Catamaran. I started from friendly and easy booking, pick up service, so friendly crew, amazing captain. We started the sailing trip in an unfriendly weather, hard rain all day long but our happines was beyond anythingelse. We were entertained by lots of flying fish and dolphins on the way to Rinca island, warm welcoming by lots of komodos eventhough we were tracking in the rain we found lots of new amazing experiences. We saw a baby komodo hiding in the hollow! After visited komodos, with unsure weather we were off to Mawan island and snorkling in the paradise of mantarays! Gosh! This is truelly unforgetbale moment. I never experienced swimming with lots of mantas! After that we sailed to Turtle city for having lunch and saw lots of big turtles and colourful fish ( another snorkling). On the way back we were stop in the pink sand beach where no one else except us! Felt like we own the beach! And then last destinasion was the sand bar. That was an amazing nature. How come the sand in the middle of the ocean???? Ok, the weather was getting darker again so we sailed back home but wait! Lots more dolphins dancing around to entertained us!!!!. Now, I have a good words" BEHIND THE BAD WEATHER, THERE'S A BEAUTIFUL SCENE". Big thanks to a wonderful captain who sail the boat safely, and the very nice crews who serve us very well. Big thanks to Flores XP Catamaran for the opportunity to sailing with. Unforgetable moment! Love it love it.... will do it again for sure

Everything about this trip was perfect..starting with prompt emails and answers to all my questions to the warm welcome from the friendly crew who went out of their way to make us comfortable, the catamaran was great, lots of space and different places to sit to lounge and enjoy the spectacular scenery, we went to some great locations the crew provided great food and drinks. It was nice to feel safe on the water the staff were safety conscious and very knowledgeable, would do this again ..thanks

Maybe I'm a little bit of a princess ... but safe to say I was a tad worried about some of the other 'Day Trip to Komodo' tours as you walk along the Main Street in Labuan Bajo ... let's say first impressions count! However when we came across these guys, I couldn't have been more happy! Professional, super friendly, helpful, well priced and most importantly we had a GREAT trip! So we booked a day trip on a speed boat. Pick up from from the hotel (albeit v. early! ... a necessary evil I think ... I sucked it up! Ha!) First stop Padar Island - stunning! Then Pink Beach for snorkelling / lazing around. Then the 'Dragons' (WOW) and lunch stop - and no, we weren't lunch! Then another stunning island - can't remember the name! Then snorkelling at Manta Point and OMG ... they're massive ha ha! Then a last island stop. All wonderful places - spending about an hour in each ... a little longer with the Dragons, of course. The crew were all super helpful and our guide was wonderful. Kept us hydrated, informed, knew all the 'angles' to take the perfect Insta shot ha ha ... they couldn't have done enough for us. Boat was sound, fully equipped ... and they were absolutely all about safety given the crossing (in wet season) can be a little treacherous ... they were not about taking risks just for money. All in all the early start was absolutely well worth it. A fabulous day ... with a fabulous team ... and fabulous memories made! If you're looking to book this great trip then definitely, definitely go to these guys on the main strip ... Mikel, Albert and the team will look after you and ensure you have a day to remember! Thank You Guyssss ...

we spend a beautiful day in this boat. the layout of the boat is very well-thought. For us these boat makes a difference with competitors as it is bigger than average. you can enjoy the view (nice komodo islands view) from everywhere on her. even full with guest always there is space for you to feel comfortable. so you can actually enjoy the navigation in between the snorkeling, trekking, etc, rather than be inside a speedboat with now view. Great crew. nicely explain the sites we visit :). beers and drinks on the way back...yuhuuuu!!

Helpful Questions from Our Community

Q
How much are Komodo National Park fees?
A
Komodo National Park fees are complicated. They depend on: the islands visited (which is weather dependent), whether it's a weekday or a weekend, whether the guest is a foreigner or a local, and the number of people on the boat (as ranger fees are shared). This is why no two people will tell you the same number when asked about fees! The fees are also complicated by the fact that they're set by the national government and paid directly to Jakarta. So there is little visibility on changes from time to time. This is why we usually advise international guests to bring cash of between IDR 350K to IDR 460K per person per day for weekdays and between IDR 400K to IDR 520K per person per day for weekends. This is more than you need, but it avoids you ending up short of cash if the boat doesn't have too many people or the fees suddenly change! A few of our trips include the fees in the price. You can see it listed in the inclusion list. If this is the case there is no need to bring cash with you.
Q
Can I still visit Komodo National Park in Jan-March rainy season?
A
While you can still visit Komodo National Park during the rainy season in Jan-March, there is a higher risk of boat trips being cancelled due to the weather. The risk is lowest for the 1-day speedboats (as they are more stable) so if you are going Jan-March, we would highly recommend doing a 1-day speedboat trip. Although the 2D1N trips and some 3D2N trips are still sailing during the rainy season, there is a slightly higher risk that they might be cancelled due to the weather. Given the unpredictability of the weather, the cancellation could happen at any time (even the morning of the trip). We will keep you updated as soon as we can if the weather prediction is not favourable for your trip. If your trip is cancelled due to the weather, you can choose to receive a full refund, OR reschedule your trip for the next day (if weather permits). So if you're travelling from Jan-March to Komodo, please plan some extra days for your trip so you have additional days to try again, even if your original trip is cancelled!
Q
Is the itinerary guaranteed?
A
The itinerary for Komodo National Park is very weather dependent, as the journey takes place out in open waters. Some days the currents are very strong, and it might not be safe to go to certain islands. We know this can be frustrating if you had your heart set on specific spots, but please be assured that the boat operators will do their very best to make sure you see the dragons and the highlights of the park - even if it's not identical to the itinerary here. A visit to Komodo is quite the adventure, so please do be prepared to embrace some level of uncertainty!
Q
What should I pack?
A
Ankle socks
Flip flops
Insect repellent
Sunglasses and Hat
Sunscreen
Swimwear
Toiletries
Towel
Trekking shoes
