<p>The Sticks is built by a retired civil engineer with sustainability in mind. The kampung-inspired retreat is perfect for the environmentally-conscious - it was constructed with minimal clearing of the forest, powered by solar energy, and even the water comes from a remote spring. Currently, The Sticks is run by the engineer's wife alongside a number of locals who are all passionate and friendly. The unique Tedoks (a crossover between a tent and a Pondok), situated 300m above sea level, are tastefully furnished and airy - making this off-grid retreat perfect for friends and families looking for a getaway, or even yoga retreats. Trekking activities of varying difficulty levels are also available for adventurous guests.</p>
