Is Tricomalee closed due to COVID-19?
After months of lockdown in Sri Lanka, operations in Trincomalee have resumed under strict health guidelines that visitors must follow. Domestic travellers and ex-pats living in Sri Lanka are currently allowed to visit Trincomalee for diving.
Sri Lanka is expecting to open borders to international travellers from August 1, 2020. We are continuing to monitor the situation and will provide updates if the opening date were to change.
