Sigiriya, an ancient palace and home to the iconic "Lion's Rock", was nominated as the 8th wonder of the world and is a UNESCO world heritage site. We would recommend taking a private guide to show you less-crowded routes & bring colour to one of the most significant cultural sites in Sri Lanka
After months of lockdown in Sri Lanka, operations in the Sigiriya have resumed under strict health guidelines that visitors must follow. Domestic travellers and ex-pats living in Sri Lanka are currently allowed to take the walking trip.
Sri Lanka is expecting to open borders to international travellers from August 1, 2020. We are continuing to monitor the situation and will provide updates if the opening date were to change.
