At Nilagama Village, you can experience everyday Sri Lanka village life. Here you'll learn Sri Lankan home cooking, and immerse yourself in local farming activities. Great for travellers who would like to see a different side of Sri Lanka away from its well-trodden beaches and safari parks.
After months of lockdown in Sri Lanka, operations in Nilagama have resumed under strict health guidelines that visitors must follow. Domestic travellers and ex-pats living in Sri Lanka are currently allowed to explore Nilagama Village.
Sri Lanka is expecting to open borders to international travellers from August 1, 2020. We are continuing to monitor the situation and will provide updates if the opening date were to change.
